The time came to BJP to rule KGF first time but at the same time Lok Ayukta came near
By the rule.

This is the first time in history of KGF and Karnataka state that a sitting MLA has caught red-handed while accepting a bribe.
On Thursday 29th January around 1:15 pm 2009 Y.Sampangi. sitting BJP MLA of KGF ,Fell into Lok Ayukta hands for receiving the sum of Rs 50,000 INR in cash and a cheque for 4.50 lakh in legislator’s home at room no 263 in Bangalore.

The sleuths recovered currency notes that had his fingerprints on them and remained him that he is public servant and he was not supposed to accept a bribe. Y. Sampangi was booked under section 7 of the prevention of corruption Act. He was remanded to a day’s judicial custody and shifted to Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.

The story Begins

When Hussain Mueen Farook from Andersonpet KGF He is a scrap dealer, approached the Lok Ayukta and alleged that Sampamgi was demanding money from him to settle a land dispute. Prior to this, farook had approached the KGF police seeking help in reclaiming the land, the ownership which was challenged by some other person. Farook alleged that the police, instead of helping him, had colluded with the BJP MLA Y.Sampangi. And harassed him for money.

After hearing his story, Lok Ayukta Justice N. Santhosh Hedge directed his men to lay a trap . Accordingly, the sleuths smeared currency notes and the cheque with phenolphthalein powder (which is used to obtain fingerprints ) and handed the bribe amount over to Farook, to be given to the MLA. When Farook called Sampangi and asked where he was to hand over the cash, he later told him to come to his room at 1 pm. Accordingly, Farook went there fallowed by undercover sleuths.

On receiving the cash, Sampangi called up the KGF police and instructed them not to harass Farook. But before he could pocket the amount, the Lok Ayukta sleuths rushed in and nabbed him. The sleuths questioned him till 3:45 pm in his room and later took him to the Lok Ayukta office, where he was again questioned for three hours before being produced before a special judge. Cases have also been booked against circle inspector Lakshmaiah and Sub-inspector Pasha KGF’s Andersonpet police station.

This has been informed to assembly speaker and BJP has temporally suspended Y.Sampangy from BJP.

This is shame to KGF, BJP and also to Karnataka state. The People of KGF says that Y. Sampangi has not done any improvement to KGF and most of the people in kgf have not seen his face. The roads and street lights are in very bad conditions. When we asked many people at KGF about this issue, the people of KGF are we much glad that a bad MLA has caught in the Lok Ayukta net.
